...which raises another interesting point.

We used to buy high-end to get speed. Then speeds plateaued, so we
bought mid-end, for price.

Now, we can barely be bothered buying at all. The current generations
of hardware just are't compelling. Especially when it's got Vista all
over it.

Bring back 50% speed increases each year and they might recover my
attention.
