Thanks, I have an estimate from one of the first replies of around $70k and
that fits.

I know from my hiring of developers in Private and Government, most senior
developers (just senior developer, not specialist or tech leaders), would
come in at 80-120k depending on .. well, the hiring company to be honest.

If I was hiring I'd be a very small company and would probably not need the
specialist of the tech lead and probably an intermediate would do and would
probably try to get someone for less, however that $70-$90k seems to fit
with most businesses.

I was just wondering if we were getting some sort of a "Cobol Syndrome"
where Delphi developers were being paid exorbitant rates due to there not
being many, in which case I may even look at that as an option for the
future :)

Just looking at a million different options. I've also recently had a
discussion with a crown in Australia who wanted a Senior Delphi Developer,
but they were paying $50-$60k in Brisbane.

Thanks everyone.

Steve
