[DUG] Indy Smtp and XTRA

Using a domain name doesn't always mean using a different mail server. I
have a domain name but I send emails using my ISP.

I would like to use the SMTP server in IIS on an XP Pro box I use as a
server here, but I gave up after several hours of trying. It would receive
emails from my email client but they never got sent to the outside world.
It seems you need to go on MS certification courses just to learn how to set
up the bloody thing.

Rohit

I must admit I'm trying not to feel a little smug, we have advised
businesses to get their own domain name and email servers for
several years (using linux & sendmail) and that @xtra.co.nz was not a
good business practice. The argument I always gave was that it makes
your business look more substantial, I never thought to add that "Xtra
will reconfigure their email servers without consideration and
break your email for days" thou maybe I should now
