According to Gordon Li (Product Evangelist, Greater China, CodeGear - I 
asked him for you) - you need to use GB2312 or BIG5 encoding for 
Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese, but this will only cover 
13000 characters and to be reasonably expressive, you need 60,000 - 
hence the need for Unicode. The encoding is set in the Font property.
