[DUG] dbExpress Error

That should connect correctly...
What version of IB are you using ?
Do you only have 1 version of GDS32 installed ?
You have installed the interbase Client ?
Have you installed IBConsole - and can you conne4ct with it ?
The IBConsole test is probably the quickest way to confirm/test the connection.
