[DUG] CVS Software - Suggestions?

I wanted to do something similar.
I do use an external drive, with a file-based TortoiseSVN repository on
it, and then I just backup the repository at home every night.
But all the check-ins/outs are done against the "live" repository on the
external HDD whenever it's plugged into the machine on which I'm
working.
Since I can rely on TortoiseSVN to reconcile the multiple checkouts,
most of the time it doesn't matter if I left the drive at work for a day
or two.
Works well. I suggest you should reconsider your wish not to use a
portable HDD.
HTH,
Conor

My main need for this is, I want to keep files between work and home in
sync, without using some sync software (tried that). Or carrying around
a portable drive (whops I lost it / left it at work).
Maybe there is another solution...
Not to keen on having an ftp server going either..
