[DUG] Unicode and canvas.Textout

Not entirely separate from the question earlier about MBCS, but does anyone
know the "right" way to write unicode to a graphics canvas? With
MBCS you can set the charset in TFont, and convert unicodetoMBCS. The
snag is that you have to know the code page to work with to match the
characterset. I thought this was what unicode wanted to avoid. 
I can do raw TextOutW I guess...
