[DUG] D2007 and .NET

I'm not too sure of the specifics, and I'm not trying to tell you that
you shouldn't be concerned about the lag in Delphi's support for .NET
versions, but a lot of people in the .NET community are saying that
calling the next version of the .NET framework version 3.0 is way too
confusing (and probably just marketing spin), since it's more of a
package of extra components, rather than new language/compiler
enhancements.

Nic Wise (ex-Delphi guy) posted on the .NET mailing list a while back
that .NET 3.0 is .NET Framework 2.0 CLR + WCF, & WPF & WWF (whatever
they all are!).

I suppose it depends on what new stuff exists in the newer versions of
the .NET framework that you actually need?

Cheers,

C.

Not read anything else about this, but I have a question about the
upcoming Delphi 2007 release....well the one due mid next year.
I get mail form the NZ .NET group and there are guys on there talking
about .NET 3.0, and as far as I can tell, D2007 is only going to support
.Net 2.0 which makes me kind of concerned.
We are looking at updateing to D2006 with the Software Assurance so we
get D2007, but as much as i LOVE Delphi, its kinda concerning that
Borland are a .NET version behind now, and it looks as if it will stay
that way.
Is this just a presumption on my part or wil D2007 have .NET 3 support?
