Actually, it's the converse of that. Most applications it wouldn't matter.
Ones like yours are the exception rather than the rule.

This is a narrow view of application range. For what I do, no computer is
fast enough and surprise, java and C# don't figure. Delphi only just fits my
performance/convenience trade off and only sometimes. Otherwise its C. If
there is time cost to convenience then I want option of switching it off.
