[DUG] Delphi 2006 snippet

Hi Richard

You are right about Interbase. I don't really follow it but was reading
some comments about problems with IB on a FB list. I read people some
users had gone back from 7.5 to 7.1 SP 2 due to some problems. I
suppose the FB lists aren't necessasarily the best forums to read about
IB :) (Although many users use both FB and IB). I only bought IB into
it becuase it seems, from comments on this list, fairly obvious that
there were / are a number of major bugs in Delphi 2005.

Not sure about your 4 forks and stagnant comments. There is (to my
knowledge) 1 current version of FB 1.52 and an Alpha release of FB 2.0.
A separate prototype with better 64bit / SMP support called Vulcan
exists, this is to me merged into FB 2.0 and released as FB 3.0. So yes
there is development and a stable road map. I think the FB guys
desearve some credit, they have built a good platform and community.
