I remember someone some time ago saying about a common problem either with
Delphi or Windows where a window will come up behind others and not in the
foreground.
I have this happening quite frequently on my PC, Win XP Pro (Sony laptop
Athlon chip) and I have the feeling it is a Windows problem, as often
Windows thinks the window is in the foreground, as the icon on the task bar
is darker (ie it is the active window) and if I click on it it minimises,
even though nothing changes on the screen. Often it turns out to be behind
everything else. For instance at the moment the popup hint showing the date
when I hover over the clock is showing BEHIND the task bar.
The reason I am asking this here is it seems to happen more when the Delphi
5 IDE is open - particularly when the IDE is the foreground window other
windows seem more prone to opening behind it. are there any such known
issues and are they Delphi related? Fixed in later Delphi? Or is this a
Windows issue?
