I assume that is not an accident.<br><br>I plan to repair it and pay myself. It seems dell is not answering the phone even after 11am. I am wondering what is their normal office hours.<br>

Leigh, depending on your policy and level of cover, home contents insurance will normally cover you for accidental damage. e.g. If the power supply failed/blew up because you spilled coffee or water over it.<br><br>Clearly this wouldn't be covered under the CGA - not normally even under an extended product warranty. But unfortunate accidents are a fact of life, and that's why we have general insurance for such things. :)<br>
