With screens I find it is a bell curve, more is most definitely best, but<br>
only up to a point, then the extra space actually becomes distracting. With<br>
my 24&quot; screen at work (screen #2, screen #1 is my laptop screen) I initially<br>
tried it vertical on the basis that I am writing/scrolling vertical lists of<br>
code but it was just huge... my eyes couldn&#39;t comfortably track up and down<br>
that large an angle. Left to right is less of an issue but even then get too<br>
many/too wide screens wrapped around and it just gets too hard to use the<br>
extreme left and rights.<br>

I haven&#39;t tried it but imagine 3 screens being the maximum I could use, one<br>
large one (eg 24&quot; widescreen, probably no more) in centre, and two smaller<br>
ones (eg 19&quot; 5x4 ratio) either side.<br>

I think with 2 30 inch screens you&#39;d get neck strain.  I&#39;ve heard of<br>
people having a 30 inch screen and two smaller screens rotated either<br>
side (so that their width matches the height of the big screen) - which<br>
means that you don&#39;t have a gap directly in front of you.<br>
<br>
I have a 26 inch screen at home and this was as large as I could justify<br>
to myself for the price.  It has a 21 inch CRT beside it, but I haven&#39;t<br>
felt the need to use it for awhile (not doing much coding on that<br>
computer lately)<br>
