"color:#000000 ">I agree to the point regarding the example of the Medical profession, where it is totally dominated by the Pharmaceutical industry as well - but at least someone calling themselves an MD for the most is found to be qualified. There will always be frauds, but for the most it works.</span></span>

"color:#000000 ">The IT industry has it's own equivalent of "Pharmaceutical Industry backing", and I believe that a strong profession - formulating independent educational standards is important, otherswise M$, Cisco, etc "qualifications" will become the default - creating inbred and indoctrinated students.</span></span>

"color:#000000 ">Also "startup technologies" - eg Linux, would more likely to be marginalised in the same way the Natural Health industry has been by the medical profession - and <u>not</u> for "professional" reasons.</span></span>
