happen when Explorer has crashed. It's up to the individual applications
to re-create the system tray icons when the tray is re-created after an Explorer

know what was in the system tray previously, nor what is supposed to be
there. When the shell re-starts, it sends a system-wide broadcast message,
WM_TASKBARCREATED. Since this is a broadcast message, all running apps are
supposed to hear this message and if they have system tray icons, recreate
them.<BR></FONT></DIV>

doing this so I investigated it and modified the RxTrayIcon component I
