Execution Prevention” for your service? W2k3 has this enabled by default
and that is often causing the problems – It’s in the System
Properties dialog, under Advanced go to “Performance” and then the

was developed on, and also on an in-house Windows 2003 Server (Web edition),

proxy for a Db Server ), but Windows reports that it did not install in a

"works" proves that - and also tried setting the log-on to
administrator instead of system in case there was a permissions issue - also
there are no visual forms, so does not need to interact with the desktop......
