I have had problems only when trying to update the executable.
Required multiple reboots and hair-pulling for it to work again.<br>

service that works fine on the XP machine it was developed on, and also
on an in-house Windows 2003 Server (Web edition), but "half works" on
the client install.</span> </p>
<p> <span style="font-family: MS Sans Serif;">I say "half works", as
it works as it should ( a proxy for a Db Server ), but Windows reports
that it did not install in a timely fashion, and reports that it is in
the "starting" state.</span> </p>
<p> <span style="font-family: MS Sans Serif;">I've checked all
dependencies - the fact that it "works" proves that - and also tried
setting the log-on to administrator instead of system in case there was
a permissions issue - also there are no visual forms, so does not need
to interact with the desktop...... etc.</span> </p>
