<span style=

Just wondering if anyone has had problems with an NT Service on Windows Server 2003.

I have a simple service that works fine on the XP machine it was developed on, and also on an in-house Windows 2003 Server (Web edition), but "half works" on the client install.

I say "half works", as it works as it should ( a proxy for a Db Server ), but Windows reports that it did not install in a timely fashion, and reports that it is in the "starting" state.

I've checked all dependencies - the fact that it "works" proves that - and also tried setting the log-on to administrator instead of system in case there was a permissions issue - also there are no visual forms, so does not need to interact with the desktop...... etc.

Any ideas?

kind regards
