solution using mysql with a delphi client. All going fine, except that due to a
licensing issue, mysql cannot be compiled for windows to support ssl, the end
user (me) must define the variable myself and compile mysql server.</FONT></DIV>

if anyone on the list has a version of VC++ up, running and compilable that
