I have a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering so I'm a hybrid mechanical/software engineer with 22+ years of software development experience. I started with Delphi 5 and I would say I'm pretty familiar with most aspects of the language; multi-threading, SQL, reporting, GUI design and COM interop. I also have a Delphi XE professional license although I haven't done any consulting work with Delphi over the last 5 years. During that time however I wrote a COM plugin architecture which is demonstrated in this rather mundane youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTYfp45AucU. I also fixed the Turbopower Lockbox code for unicode compliance so that it functions identically with both FPC and Delphi (from D7 right up to XE2 and beyond); including the generation of keys for OpenSSL and MS .net CryptoServiceProvider which you can view here https://github.com/jarto/lockbox2/commits

If any of this sounds like it would fit with your current employer's needs I'd be happy to have a chat. I'm based in Auckland and working on my own C++ graphics project these days.

This is a current system, expanding it’s user base, used by some of the largest companies in Australasia (and beginning to be marketed elsewhere) in the target market.

The current code base is Delphi 10.2, we are moving towards updating to 10.4 in the near future.
