[DUG] Error loading form

Hi All

 

Thanks for all your suggestions – much appreciated.  However the problem was solely of my making and I apologise for bothering you.  The code has a designtime writing to file, and the file path was inadvertently changed in our VCS.  I still do not understand why this was triggered by loading the main form, but that’s what happened.  We may need to rewrite the code to avoid this happening again.

Hi Errol,

I've had issues with CR/LF vs LF in the past. I'd check the form text file with a hexdump and verify your line separators are what you expect them to be.

Now when I open the project or the main form using Delphi XE10.1, I get the following error, and I cannot display the form on  pressing F12.

 



 

However, the program compiles and displays the form when I run it, so it looks like main,dfm is substantially OK.  

 

Any ideas how I can retrieve the form would be most welcome.
