[DUG] Door access systems

Hi All
Does anyone have experience interacting with door access systems?  
I am about to replace a really bad TCP-IP admin system that came with a
Weigand controller board, but am having difficulty decoding the datagram
structure and can't find any doco.  There appear to be a lot of cheap
controller boards using the protocol.
Any help appreciated.
