[DUG] Dev Machines

HI All. Slightly OffTopic, but I am just wondering if anyone is using an
AWS or Google Cloud VM as their development machine?
I had a recent server failure - that happened to be my VM server! I was
able to move the VM files etc. to my laptop so I can keep working. I have
gone through the process of converting (a copy of) my dev VM to a
VirtualBox VM and in the process of converting THAT to something that
Google Cloud can import, but just wondering if anyone else is doing dev
this way?
