Hi,
I have used both git and svn. Svn is easier to understand but is not as
powerful. To make best use of git you need to understand branching and
merging.
If you have a small co-located team with straight forward needs, then svn is
fine. If you have multiple teams or locations then git is more useful.
I found the following very helpful when we switched to get last year:

using-git-ndash-part-1-getting-started
You can also get Git Succinctly (and about 90 other free books) from
http://www.syncfusion.com/resources/techportal/ebooks.
Regards
Sean

Subject: [DUG] Delphi GIT Integration
Hi All,
Just looking for some feedback / best practices when using Delphi and a GIT.
Issues such as use of separate repositories, app design (breaking up app
into DLL's etc). Anything to ease any pain that I may encounter.
cheers
Gary
