HI all,
Happy New Year to everyone, and best wishes for a good 2014.
Some points to ponder, and help get this year's discussions going.
1. Here's a article/link that popped up on the Firebird List that I thought may be of interest to some of you.
http://www.utf8everywhere.org/
2. Who is developing Mobile apps with XE5? In particular cross platform - Android / Apple.
3. I thought there could be a business model for someone with the required Apple experience, developer credentials, and infrastructure to take XE5 apps developed for Android, and then port them to Apple. Can anyone put their hand up?
4. Putting a toe in the mobile development pond, I was reminded of the startup days for the NZ DUG (1995), when we met every week to compare notes and come to grips with the new Windows development. (Thanks to Steve & Andy at Banklink for the premises!! )
Is there any interest in a hands on code day / weekend? It might be the blind leading the blind but I'm sure we can bring in some expert help.
cheers and all the best.
Gary
