Datacom is expanding our Application Management and Transformation (AM&T)
team and has an opening for an additional Senior Delphi Developer.
The Datacom AM&T team exists to provide on-going support for our clients
existing applications as well as assisting them in undertaking the
transformation of these applications to new technologies and platforms,
including .NET and mobile platforms. Some experience or exposure to .NET
or mobile development would be beneficial and you should have an active
interest in developing skills in these areas. Our client-base covers all
industries in NZ and overseas, ensuring a varied working environment and
extensive opportunities to challenge and develop your skills.
The ideal candidate will have extensive Delphi knowledge and experience as
well as being proficient in the use of SQL involving large and complex
database systems. In particular they will be well versed in the
development and maintenance of applications making extensive use of client
dataset features and the BDE. Some exposure to Unix/Linux would be
beneficial though not essential. Although based in our office in the
Auckland CBD, the role will involve some travel outside of Auckland.
You will be expected to work directly and autonomously at all levels in our
clients organizations in a professional manner, working with users and
business representatives as well as developers, analysts and project
managers. In addition to undertaking the usual tasks involving bug fixing
and implementing change requests you will also help identify and refine
requirements, advise on implementation decisions and assist with
troubleshooting and problem solving.
If this sounds like an opportunity that would interest and suit you, please
send your CV to me in the first instance (Jolyon Direnko-Smith) at
datacom.delphi.opp.dec2014 at gmail.com
Please note that we are seeking CV's for a specific role and I am unable to
respond to more general enquiries regarding employment or other
opportunities at Datacom. Such enquiries should be directed to our
HR/Recruitment team via the normal channels.
