[DUG] OT - Win8 check favour

You may be doing the same as me.  Setting write folder permissions during
installation so my app can store data in a folder under Program Files.

I know it's not ideal, but tricky to avoid when multiple installations to
different Program Files folders are possible.

I hope this is still possible.  Sounds like I will need to download the
release preview and try it in a virtual machine.

Aye. We implemented an install-time workaround for the increased Vista/Win7
security, which worked very well. Naturally I'm interested to know whether
the same approach covers Win8. One of the main reasons for my question in
fact.

Is there anyone else who happens to still have Win8 installed somewhere and
is willing to do a brief test?
