[DUG] OT - Win8 check favour

Hi Peter I had a look at win 8 a few weeks ago as virtual machine.. I since deleted it so can't help with testing today...

The only thing I noticed was they have increased the UAC (user access control) stuff, so if u saving files to c:\program files and other restricted locations you might run into problems...this can be dealt with by setting compatibility mode to win 7 and running as administrator. Apart from that everything else seem to work the same as win 7. I didn't really encounter any other problems

(offtopic)
Hi folks,
If anyone is running Win8 beta (or is it RTM now?) and willing to spend 20 minutes testing a couple of our small apps for install-run-exit-rerun-uninstall functionality, please email me privately, thanks!

I don't see us moving to Win8 any time soon, but it would be nice to know if there are any obvious gotchas that our users might encounter that we haven't already allowed for. This is mainly for our sticky note app, TurboNote+.

Thanks!
Peter Hyde
