Hi options could be: install a PDF printer, (ie a virtual printer that
creates PDFs when printed to from any program) such as DoPDF or PDFCreator
(have used both).
(Also Rave reports in Delphi and other report writers also can create PDFs
as an output option directly - works well.)

Hi
I have a job where reports created with Crystal 8.5 need to be emailed
to clients. The issue is that Crystal 8.5 does not embed fonts and
these reports have barcodes etc.
I have found synPDF which seems to be a great open source tool for
creating PDFs but not editing them. I can create a pdf from a metafile
using this but can't export Crystal 8.5 to metafile. QuickPDF lite
(free) allows editing of PDFs and you can embed standard fonts (a fixed
small list of fonts) but not additional fonts. You need the $500 USD
full version for that. Which is beyond the budget of this app (as is
upgrading Crystal).
Does anyone have a suggestion of how to either, edit an existing PDF to
embed fonts or how to get an existing pdf into something like synPDF
that allows your so save it with fonts.
Thanks
Rob
