That’s impressive!
I would have been happy to have paid for maybe $100-200 for a power supply replacement, as long as the rest of the monitor was still healthy. Way cheaper than replacing it. If it was more than that I would have tried for a replacement.
Good marks to Dell! I have seen those big Dells, they are very nice.
Am I too soft in the head?
Related – I am looking for a replacement laptop sometime – want one with 1900x1000 or better resolution. Apart from the latest Mac book with retina display what are the best recommendations out there from you guys.

I just got call from Dell to say the new monitor will be delivered to me tomorrow :-)
I can package the broken monitor and arrange a pickup later.
Now I love Dell :-)
