An easy option for getting a solution is to go to the small claims court. 
You can only claim for what you have lost.

$ 50 sercures your claim and they will either pay up or see you in court. 
They cannot (from memory) bring in their high cost lawer so it is between 
you and them.

Quite a good execise to do sometime. I did that with a Trademe sale, I won 
the case concluded the sale and got the Negative feedback removed.
