I use dyndns to manage my domains exclusively because it's the easiest
management for configuring sub domains etc.
It's then nice and easy to create mail.domain office.domain home.domain etc
and www.domain and farm everything out to the best providers
If I recall, google ask you to add a file with a code to your website to
verify you have ownership of the domain. After that verification step they
get you to choose sub domains for each item like mail.hss.com
start.hss.comand give you all the info to plug into dyndns or other
domain manager.
It's been the best mail system ever IMO and I've used it since 2006
