[DUG] How to replace a file currently in use (Windows)

Hi all

I remember there was a simple way to tell windows (I think it was a copy 
command) that on the next reboot file x should be replaced with new 
version of file x.   I did a quick search but didn't see it (there is 
something the Microsoft mentions but it is not officially supported and 
involves editing a ini file (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/139086) ).

I just wondered if anyone here knows what it is :)
