I've used ShadowProtect and been very happy until now. It appears 
StorageCraft is defunct. I ran into issue when I tried to move licence 
from one computer to another - licence register/deregister wouldnt work. 
I tried forum, email to support and sales, no go though web site is 
live. You suddenly realise that if company goes bung, then how do you 
read their format? Especially when you have to use their registration 
servers to get software going.

Durability of company and/or durability of the backup format is an issue 
to consider.
