[DUG] What is the future for Delphi programmer?

1) After the initial (and subsequent) cost outlay should be easily
absorbed by the revenue generated from your deployed product. Unless
you are a hobbyist, but I've repeatedly said many times that I have
hobbies that cost me more than a Delphi 2010 Architect license - so it
just depends how much you like your hobby!!
2) Secondly, where has it been mentioned that Delphi is getting iPhone
support? Supporting OSX and iPhone are two different beasts I would
think. Considering one compiles on Intel hardware and the iPhone isn't
Intel hardware.
Many iPhone apps couple their use with a desktop application, be it
windows, mac, linux based.
You are quite correct about functionality in Delphi going unused. I
rarely use any database functionality. Also no longer use web service
functionality since no one (Embarcadero / RemObjects) seems to be able
to provide decent support for Soap 2.0. Using C# for web services
stuff now.
