On Windows only?  If so, then why worry about re-invented wheels...?  Just
use the facilities provided in the OS:

Which will take care of not just MP3 but WMA also.


I started on my own Delphi components for this a while ago - ID3v1 tags were
simple enough and I got a fair way with reading ID3v2 but then it started
getting sticky and I got pulled onto other stuff.
