I think it is fair to say that the people who have already "bought it"
(subscription) can be disappointed. The others have the choice not to
buy it.

Can you give some examples of why it is a step backwards from what the
current integrations offer?
I'd suggest a few things here:
1) Don't knock it until you've tried it
2) Who said the other integrations don't still work
3) The integration uses new API's that were not previously available
4) The integration lays the stepping stones for integrating other VCS
systems
5) Not eveyone uses SVN
6) The integration is going to be open sourced - which makes step 4 even
more interesting
7) For some reason many developers are scared about using third party
add-ins (and components)
Not every feature is valued the same by every user.
If it doesn't offer value, don't buy it. That is the best message you
could send to them (Embarcadero).
