[DUG] FW: A change in upgrade policy coming from Embarcadero

Mmm, maybe that was the problem. I have now logged into EDN to check and I
had Enable Contact selected from the Contact status drop down BUT the Email
checkbox for new products, services and special offers was cleared (now
remedied). While I was at it I also took the opportunity to move our
business from Namibia to New Zealand...

I can also see a list of offers on the main member services screen. One of
them is called Delphi 2010 Upgrade Offer with a date of 10 Sept against
it... but clicking on it just gives some general info about Delphi 2010 and
no special upgrade price, possibly because the offer has already expired?
That would be a shame it is something we could have been tempted by...
having said that I need to talk to Malcolm about licences when he gives his
Auckland talk anyway ;-).

Cheers,

David.

HI David,

Further to Richard's response, ours is mostly driven by your EDN profile. If
you've said no to email contact in that, then we try and respect that. If
you have agreed to email, and you are still not seeing any emails from us,
let me know and I'll check it out.

Cheers

Malcolm

Interesting post Malcolm.

I have one question for Richard and you... what is the best way to make sure
we find out about all discounted upgrade or purchase offers? I get some but
I've also had a few times in the past (probably not recently so maybe it is
fixed) where offers have come and gone before I found out about them.

Cheers,

David.
