Same here - running all my development environments with singular config on a separate VM ( vmware ), all on a Centos 5 host. Each runs really fast as opposed to my previous machine that had  d4,d5,d6,d7,d2006,d2007 ....

I use RDP for remote access, and with good broadband means I can develop on them remotely, and I'm not reliant on my laptop, other than for acess to the internet. When the 3G card works, it is great.
