well, I don't know what you consider expensive.. its all relative I guess.
my quad core 8gb ram with 500MB hdd and 2 24" monitors cost about $4000 with
all the extras.. that was about 6 months+ ago..

I don't call that expensive at all for a business expense.. a plumber has a
good $30K of tools and hardware.. software developers should have good tools
to do a good job..

I agree.. those 30" are awesome.. Dell is the best value, and excellent
quality.
