I think wine is probably worth a look, as it might be the case that you 
just need to install wine, then install and run your app - although a 
native linux app would be a cleaner solution - if you just want a 
solution then wine could be perfect.  I've tried a few of our apps on 
wine, we have a couple based on the BDE that just ran.  A few 
multier-tier DataSnap client apps that were also ok, although I couldn't 
get the servers going.  This being said I have nothing running on linux 
in the field (one or two macs however)
