[DUG] Editing html files

When I am editing html files in the 2007 IDE, file extension htm, the 
editor takes it to be a C++ file causing  frustrations verging on 
computer smashing.  The filemasks in the setup are correct.  IT exands 
the "if" and "for" and complains about "Interface not supported" every 
few seconds.

Is this common ?  Is there a quick solution ?  This is the only reason I 
still have to have D6 installed, to edit the stupid help files
