[DUG] Dataset Filter and current record...

An oddity that is puzzling me - I have a dataset which I filtered (in order to find a record).

Then I clear the filter to show the original complete set, expecting to be on the just found record still.

But it isn't - it goes back to the beginning.

How can I retain the current record as being the current record after I turn the filter off?  (please don't tell me I have to figure out a unique ID field and do a locate....)
