Hi Jeremy,
I am using AQTime 3 http://www.automatedqa.com/ to profile Delphi
application I develop. It is really easy to see where the time spent in the
application. The only downside is it is not free.
Have a nice day
Regards
Leigh

Well thats interesting. I am using a TAction control, although now I look at
the code I ma not 100# sure why.
I will remove it tho, and see if thats whats causing it. I am using a
TAction on a couple of diff apps and not seen this, but you never know eh?

Hmm,
I have seen TAction and its' associates etc use quite a bit of CPU time
while idle in some cases, esp if code enables/disables stuff all the time
(flip/flop cases).

I have an exe that when I run from within the IDE uses between 0 and 1 % of
the CPU
If it run the exe on its own, i.e. double click on the file name in windows
explorer, it uses upwards of 50% !!!!!!
Anyone seen anything like this? p.s. this is on the same machine even, and
doesnt matter if the Delphi IDE is open or not....weired....
Jeremy
