[DUG] DBX4 drivers for firebird

On the other hand SQL Server also competes with Interbase... yet Codegear
haven't yet decided to shoot themselves in the foot by refusing to let
Delphi talk with it.

New versions of Delphi should talk to everything that old versions do IMO.
If they don't then there should be a good reason for it (eg if the database
is no longer in serious use which doesn't apply to Firebird).

FB is an opensource database that in the most perverse manner competes 
with IB so why should
codegear give a s@#$, This is always the 2 edged sword of opensource, 
your warranty is proportional
to the price paid for the product,  You could write you own, make it 
opensource and solve everyones problem
