I really want Delphi to be 64bit and have Kylix(linux) ongoing development
with the latest Linux kernel/distribution. I think that Delphi 7 using ADO
pretty covers everything needed for the database connection part and works
fine for me.

It probably means that I'll have to use a different domain name
(http://codegearguru.com) ;-)

But for most other Delphi users it will hopefully mean that we will see
another phase of accelerated improvement on Delphi and enhanced database
support - which seems to be what Embacadero do - make databases easier,
although they don't phrase it that way.
