[DUG] Data Explorer - Connection open failed

Hi there,

Wow, actually getting emails again from this newsgroup... it stopped for 
a few weeks and just started again today.

Anyway, I got D2006 Ent. Under my Data Explorer I goto dbExpress, Mysql, 
then right click on the connection there, fill in the db 
name,host,username,password then click test and I get

""

I then tried with the mysql root username and password - still fails.
I know this works, because I have other software that accesses this 
software with the same details...

Looking at network traffic it seems it just tries to connect to 
127.0.0.1 and thats all, even though for the host name I have entered 
the IP address of the database machine.
