[DUG] Rave Reports

I have just started using Rave, bundled with 2009.
It is easy enough to use, but has a few quirks. Seems to crash while
generating a report quite often, even at runtime (that could be due to
my environment of course). Closing the program and opening it again
fixes it 50% of the time. Other bits, like the word "panel2" on the
"Store RAV" dialog are just superficial. Should have been caught before
release though.

I have used both Report Builder (for a large app in Delphi 5) and Rave
for D2006/2007. Both very good.
Haven't used the Rave report designer - its easy enough to write Rave
pure code based reports that do all I need. Doesn''t need anything
outside the exe file - links in about another 600K. (I wrote one unit
that prints contents of any form including memos, grids, tabs etc, and
use that for all my printing - I just add a Print button to the form).
In fact to get Rave was the reason I originally upgraded from Delphi 5
to D2006 - was advised it was the simplest way to get excellent
printing.

slicker.
