Even calibrating an LCD can make a huge difference.
I bought a Spyder calibrator a couple of months back for calibrating my
Dell 17" LCD (would like to get a good quality 24" widescreen at some
stage...) for photographic work (just hobby stuff), and was staggered at
the difference calibrating it made to the display.

The other advantage of tritron is that for photgraphic editing you can
calibrate to have accurate colours - lcd is limited in its colour depth
so the colours on the screen are not close enough for professional work
