[DUG] Escalation of QC reports

Not really. Your maintenance agreement entitles you to 3 support
cases. The support cases are then added into the RAID system or QC if
the support person is really keen. They will try and find you a
workaround to the issue or how to fix it. If it is a bug, I don't
believe it is counted as one of your 3 cases.
The vanilla maintenance agreement doesn't entitle you to official
support hot fixes, there are other support levels (not aware of the
details... Chee Wee?).
Here are the 7 reports you have entered in the Delphi Project (with a comment):
Report No: 51286 Status: Reported
TDBEDIT - modified property is essentially random
http://qc.codegear.com/wc/qcmain.aspx?d=51286
Been there for ages (as you state) and two of your other reports are
about how fixing issues tightened up other implementations. A sample
attachment that connected to the DBDemos alias would enhance your
report future.
--------------------
Report No: 50122 (RAID: 254204) Status: Open
IDE does not quit from Process Manager
http://qc.codegear.com/wc/qcmain.aspx?d=50122
It is open
--------------------
Report No: 49635 Status: Reported
Clientdataset no longer uses the displayname in indexdefs.fields
http://qc.codegear.com/wc/qcmain.aspx?d=49635
What are you actually asking here? That you wanted the change
documented? You are coming from delphi 7, perhaps it was fixed and
documented in 2005 (I don't know).
Perhaps a more appropriate request would be to get a history of
version changes documented somewhere.
--------------------
Report No: 49634 (RAID: 253496) Status: Closed
FileExists no longer works with wildcards
http://qc.codegear.com/wc/qcmain.aspx?d=49634
Closed and As Designed. You were relying on undocumented behaviour,
just because it worked doesn't mean it would always work. Granted,
half the time things don't work as documented - so it becomes a
guessing game :-)
--------------------
Report No: 49633 Status: Open
Ctrl-Enter in the Editor does not open the file
http://qc.codegear.com/wc/qcmain.aspx?d=49633
This has been QC'd a number of times and will hopefully be fixed in an
update. Fingers crossed.
--------------------
Report No: 49311 Status: Open
Ctrl Enter will not open file
http://qc.codegear.com/wc/qcmain.aspx?d=49311
Hmm. That is the same as the above one right?
--------------------
Report No: 38758 Status: Closed
Largeint index on ClientDataset fails on some PCs
http://qc.codegear.com/wc/qcmain.aspx?d=38758
Closed as a test case error - which you acknowledge.
--------------------
So out of the 7 (In Delphi) reports you have logged 2 reported, 2
closed and 3 open. That is pretty good stats if you ask me. I just
looked up your stats and see you must have 3 other reports in
different projects (other than the Delphi one).
Most QC sysops are volunteers and sometimes we just have better things
to do than to do CodeGears work for them. CodeGear are getting more
active in QC and it is being utilitised a lot more.
